Biography
Briana Hayman, originally from Newark, Delaware, has maintained a 20 year career in the dance industry. She began her training at the young age of three years old. At this age, her love for dance began. She began her training at New Castle Dance Academy, while training in various dance genres including ballet, jazz, tap, and lyrical. She went on to become a member of their competition team which launched the start of her competitive dance journey.

Briana attended Delaware's one and only most prestige performing arts school, Cab Calloway School of the Arts. She majored in dance for both middle and high school and was an on-going member of the schools dance company.
In high school she went on to further her dance training, competition skills, and student teaching at Delaware Arts Conservatory and Eleone Dance Theater.
​
She has also studied at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Dance Creating New Stars throughout her years of training. Briana has attended demanding workshops as well as competed in dance competitions across the United States; her talent has taken her places including countries in China, as well as community events across Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
​
This led Briana to the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. She continued to rigorously train in ballet, modern, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary, tap, and is always eager to expand this list.
​
While also in school full time, Briana booked her first professional gig as a dancer for the Philadelphia 76ers, where she remained for three consecutive years. Through being a dancer for the NBA, Briana has had great opportunities to perform at home game alongside teammates as well as world renown artist such as: Jordin Sparks, Montell Jorden, Bell Biv Devoe, Desiigner, Nina Sky, Biz Markie, and Naughty By Nature to name a few.

While represented by Bloc Talent Agency in New York City, her talents have taken her to perform on major television programs such as Jimmy Fallon, Good Morning America, BET, and the Billboard Hot 100 festival for artists such as Demi Lovato, G Eazy and Cardi B.
​
Briana is currently an active judge for Star Dance Alliance, the nation’s leader in dance competition.
​
Her teaching career has lasted well over 10 years. Beginning as a student teacher and working her way up to managing classrooms of her own. Knowing that she has an opportunity to be a vital instrument and make a difference in children’s lives is what fuels her to keep going. Briana is able take all of her acquired knowledge over the years and pour it back into her dancers. From technical training in the dance studio to life lessons that can be applied beyond, she makes it a point to be present for each and every student and create individual relationships with all students.

She makes it a point to maintain healthy relationships with students’ parents as the need for a solid support system is crucial to a students’ success. By keeping parents and guardians engaged this fuels the child’s interest in dance and performance as they know someone other than Miss Briana is cheering them on.
​
Whether it is teaching, training, performing, or mentoring, Briana has been blessed to be able to share her passion for dance with others who are willing to receive it.
