This is not your average summer program. The DCFD Summer Intensive is designed for dancers who are serious about their training and ready to grow in a focused, professional environment.
Over the course of six weeks, dancers will receive comprehensive training across multiple styles while also developing the knowledge, discipline, and mindset required for a successful dance journey.
Curriculum: Our curriculum is structured to cover a wide range of dance styles and techniques, including classical ballet, jazz, modern, hip-hop, and more. Dancers will start their day with a ballet class and continue training and studying throughout the day. We will focus on the true technical aspects of these styles of dance. Aside from learning visual techniques, dancers will be required to partake in a literary analysis of true foundational dance history and terminology. Dancers will be tested on their knowledge of concepts, and evaluated accordingly.
